Boy Scout Rules Assimilation Its Value and Necessity

My regular listeners have heard my take on this but I thought it was necessary to post it on the site for those who have not or can’t.

Since the time of its inception the USA has welcomed persons from every corner of the earth. Every race, creed and color was accepted.

Problems, complications and issues arose. In the end, the newcomers assimilated. They learned the language. They joined the workforce and became productive members of the society.

There is no difference between the idea of immigrant assimilation and that of joining a club or organization. Let’s say that you want to go camping, earn merit badges and do the Klondike derby with the boy scouts. You know that in order to do these things, you must join the Boy Scouts. So, join you do. You must conform to the organization’s rules. The requirements for being a Boy Scout are as follows: ( see below )

Boy Scout Program Membership

Boy Scouting, one of the traditional membership divisions of the BSA, is available to boys who have earned the Arrow of Light Award or have completed the fifth grade, or who are 11 through 17 years old. The program achieves the BSA’s objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness qualities among youth by focusing on a vigorous program of outdoor activities.

Uniform

The uniform makes the Boy Scout troop visible as a force for good and creates a positive youth image in the community. Boy Scouting is an action program, and wearing the uniform is an action that shows each Boy Scout’s commitment to the aims and purposes of Scouting. The uniform gives the Boy Scout identity in a world brotherhood of youth who believe in the same ideals. The uniform is practical attire for Boy Scout activities and provides a way for Boy Scouts to wear the badges that show what they have accomplished.

OK, so you understand the rules of membership. You don’t like them, but you must conform to them if you wish to reap the benefits of membership. Why must these requirements exist? You don’t want to wear that dorky uniform anyway. Well, sacrifice, structure, self-discipline, humility, respect for authority and leaders are all parts of maturity, character and success. Conforming to rules and structure allows each individual member to share common experiences and grow as one, as a member of the team. Each member, still maintaining their individualism but growing and learning as one. The parts assimilate into the whole creating a strong team. They share a common goal, work together for the good of the whole and learn to respect the value of one. Joining and assimilating does not diminish the individual, it broadens the perspective and through an understanding of others, allows us to know ourselves better. It empowers the individual.

A Scout who assimilates into the organization does the following:

• Learns the rules
• Memorizes the oath
• Wears the uniform
• Learns the language of a Boy Scout

If the new Scout fails to meet the membership requirement, efforts are made to help him to do so. If in the end the Scout refuses to meet the requirements his membership is terminated. He can no longer enjoy the benefits of membership.

Society is the same. At least it should be. Throughout the centuries of man’s recorded history conquering forces have taken over countries and forced their populaces to change their language, abandon their cultures and altered there way of life. That form of forceful assimilation is not healthy, generally fraught with conflict and is rarely necessary (though sometimes unavoidable).

Throughout the centuries of man’s recorded history conquering forces have taken over countries and forced their populaces to change their language, abandon their cultures and altered there way of life. That form of forceful assimilation is not healthy, generally fraught with conflict and is rarely necessary (though sometimes unavoidable).

America’s influence around the world is astonishing. Today’s world is one of rapid change, technological advancement and social upheaval. Technology is a universal factor in every culture in every corner of our world. The language of technology and business around the world is American English. Many of the technical terms and business words do not even exist in other languages. Our music, automotive technologies, computer advances and more permeate the world.

When a person enters a country with the intent to take up residency, they should assimilate into that country’s culture. Learn the language, conform to the social and fashion culture of the locale. Having assimilated, they will reap the benefits of the country and its societal rewards.

Whether it is here, Japan, Germany, Iraq or anywhere persons who desire citizenship and permanent residency must assimilate. Assimilation is positive for the person and mandatory for the survival of the country and its culture. Every attempt to ignore this fact has ended in abject failure. California’s attempt at bilingual education and government is a classic example.

Assimilation does not destroy the heritage it grows and enhances the heritage. It allows the person to celebrate the good in there cultural heritage, while it allows them to break free of the fetters of the problems of the past.

The assimilation of people with broad heritages and cultures into a single society creates a stronger more successful society. It enhances the opportunities and potential of success for all.

Population Management

We began a conversation about population management and its importance to the survival of cultures, nations, and even entire races of people in the article entitled; Population Planning, Control, Immigration, and Cultural Destruction. The author realizes that the topic, in the 15 second sound bite view will trigger many. Some people will even be scared. In a world where successful “free nations” have the luxury to micromanage everything, it is understandable that people might be concerned about the idea of a government or a group of “elite / intelligentsia” “conspiring” to manipulate the population of a nation.

The gentry class want a poor underclass who will work, long, hard, for low wages to fuel profits and secure the gentry class' power.

Although vigilance and careful surveillance of both the “planning” and the implementation is crucial, population management is a critically necessary act of a responsible nation.

A nation is not defined by it's zip code or lines on a map. A nation is defined by its culture, heritage, language, and customs shared by the majority of its people. A nation and its people are also bound together by its laws. Together creating a cohesive group of people, a nation, sharing not just an address but culture, as a group, together. WH

Nothing is as it appears. There are dirty little secrets behind the desire of nations to accept immigrants and promote population growth.

The fact is that nations have risen and fallen because they overlooked the necessity to preserve the integrity of their culture, heritage, language, and customs.

The reality is, like it or not, nice or not, self-preservation is natural, fair, and a worthy pursuit.

If you look at the few nations that have survived millennia, you will find that they doggedly protected and in many cases forced their subjects and conquests to adopt, maintain, and revere their culture, heritage, language, and customs. China and Japan are two perfect examples of intentional preservation of culture and its components. As successful free nations evolve, they forget the necessities of maintaining a defense of those things that bind them. Like Greece and Rome, they slowly forget the lessons that require vigilance, wariness, and protective behaviors as they slip from classical liberal perspectives to social liberal perspectives. That progression spells the end for every nation and society who has traversed that point.

China has masterfully exploited our slide into social liberalism. While they chastise and lecture us about being open and tolerant, they quietly have implemented a plan of financial subjugation and electoral manipulation that has now positioned them in a place of significant influence and power in every corner of the planet. They have locked deals for natural resources, while influencing elections in places like Africa, South, Central America, and even Europe. They have taken control of, and expanded shipping and potential military bases all over the world. They are an existential threat to the free world. See

A balanced and forward-thinking plan reflective of nation state's population is critical to its long-term survival.

Immigration unchecked and without mandatory performance and assimilation mandates are represent an existential threat to the national culture.

Natural (and unnatural) Selection

Governments, religious bodies, sociologists, and philosophers have debated population management, natural, and unnatural selection since the times of Socrates.

Many believe that natural selection is a biological event, which it does, but that is not its only form. There are many types, some incidental, some nefarious, and some cases where the culture or society misses the warning signs of their own demise.

Natural (and unnatural) Selection

War, Genocide, and Pestilence
- Predatory attacks by foreign forces diminish the specific culture of people
Governmental “Population Control”
- Engineered famine (Potato famine in Ireland and Ukraine by Stalin)
- Laws limiting reproduction (China)
- Resource reduction to provoke starvation, impotence, and abstinence
Success in free nations
- The more successful, the higher the intellect and achievements
- The higher the intellect/education the lower the birthrate
- Eventually the lesser intellect outnumbers those with high intellect through breeding

A recent study from England utilizing a very large sampling found evidence of the problems that advanced, educated nations face.

Traits currently favored by selection:
Younger age at first birth in females
Higher BMI in males
Lesser traits are being selected against: Intelligence; educational achievement

The study data came from the UK Biobank, which contains genetic and medical data from half a million people. Positive values mean an association with successful reproduction; negative ones the opposite. The analysis of the data indicates that genetic factors which contribute to intelligence and educational achievement are not leading factors by natural selection.

The same issues that we see in survival skills and traits emerge in this study of reproductive success. The more successful a nation becomes, the further the individual citizens are insulated from the harsh realities that those who created their wealth and success endured to deliver that gift. There are many instances of this around the world. The more time that people are able to spend in pursuit of self-gratification and the finer things of life, they lose the skills that it takes to maintain those trappings. They begin to spend so much time intellectualizing matters of moral import that they become passive and then submissive. History tells the tales of the rise and fall of many a great technologically advance nation.
