SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) - Biological Agent Connection

A CBRE expert who I have known for years was talking to me about “crazy stupid” things that preppers, survivalists, and bushcrafters do. I told him about the mushroom incident (Click here to read). Suddenly, the discussion turned to Ricin and SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) and the possibility of a State Actor or Terror Organization.

Article Goal:

Informational

Heighten frontline operator's situational awareness to a possible risk factor. All empirical data points are useful as tools to rapidly identify threats, mitigate, and/or eradicate them with minimum negate the negative impact on the operators and those who they protect or serve.

Executive Summary:

Over the past three weeks, several highly reliable sources have provided me with empirical data as well as analysis from security professionals who have asserted that Ricin is the actual cause for many of the SARS-CoV-2 sudden, no symptom deaths occurring in the recent (May 1-11, 2020) period. They are warning that people need to be highly alert for signs of Ricin.

I cannot confirm the analysis, but I have validated the empirical data. I will present that below in the supportive data section. I am not asserting that someone is intentionally exposing SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) patients to this bioweapon.

Those working the frontlines of the response to this “crisis” are already at risk from ordinary health and safety issues. Doctors, Nurses, Police, EMS, etc. on the ground are telling me that the people at ground level are lost. They say that no one actually has been read in on any of the formal risk analysis data. Things have happened so quickly and that there is a lot of confusion. Every piece of tangible, verifiable data is essential.

In light of the early assertions that the “virus” was a bioweapon and other new claims asserting that the COD in sudden emergent cases is, in fact, Ricin, I felt that it would be irresponsible not to mention the outside possibility. Vigilance never hurt anyone. My rule is to always err on the side of caution. Since the source material is ubiquitously available in wild settings throughout the world, any idiot or state actor would be able to create the toxin. *** Like the virus, Ricin can be inactivated by heat above 80 degrees centigrade (176 degrees Fahrenheit). If either pathogen is on a package or item delivered to an essential location it is advised that you place the items in an environment that will deactivate the pathogen. SARS-CoV-2 is inactivated at 135 degrees Fahrenheit,

According to the CDC, it is clear that the assertion of the analysis is within the possibility. The symptoms are nearly identical to those of SARS-CoV-2. The difference is that there is no antidote for Ricin poisoning.

Cases of Ricin poisoning are rarely identified by health or law enforcement officials. The number of incidents is so rare that most health professionals have no idea of what it is.

“Depending on the route of exposure (such as injection or inhalation), as little as 500 µ of Ricin could be enough to kill an adult. A greater amount would be needed to cause death if Ricin were ingested.”

It takes a deliberate act to manufacture Ricin to poison people. Ricin is one of the most toxic biological agents known — a Category B bioterrorism agent and a Schedule Number 1 chemical warfare agent.

What are the symptoms of ricin poisoning?

Clinicians should be alert to illness patterns and diagnostic clues that might indicate an intentional release of Ricin.

The extent of manifestations of ricin poisoning in humans depends on the amount of Ricin to which a person was exposed, route of exposure, and extent of organ involvement.

Significant exposure to Ricin would result in a relatively rapid, progressive worsening of symptoms over approximately 4 to 36 hours. Death may occur within 36 hours of exposure. If death has not occurred by 5 days from exposure, the victim usually recovers.

Symptoms

Ingestion Exposure:
Some or all of the following symptoms may be manifest:

- Profuse vomiting
- Profuse diarrhea (bloody or non-bloody)
- Severe dehydration
- Weakness
- Influenza-like symptoms: fever, myalgia, and arthralgia
- Hallucinations
- Seizures
- Hematuria (Blood in Urine)
- Hypotension

Hypovolemic shock and multiple system organ failure may occur, leading to death.

Inhalational Exposure:

Some or all of the following symptoms may be manifest:

- Cough, respiratory distress, bronchoconstriction
- Pulmonary edema
- Cyanosis
- Nausea
- Excessive diaphoresis
- Weakness
- Influenza-like symptoms: fever, myalgia, and arthralgia
- Hypotension, respiratory failure and multisystem organ failure may occur, leading to death.

Dermal and ocular exposure by Ricin in powder or mist form can cause erythema and pain of the skin and eyes.

Ricin or Abrin Poisoning
TOXIC SYNDROME DESCRIPTION

Ricin and abrin are potent biological toxins that are derived from plant sources (castor beans and rosary peas, respectively). More is known about ricin toxicity; however, abrin toxicity is similar in its mechanism of action. In the body, these toxins inhibit protein synthesis leading to cell death. Clinical manifestations are dependent on the route of exposure. Ingestion typically leads to profuse vomiting and diarrhea followed by multisystem organ failure and possibly death within 36 to 72 hours of exposure. Inhalation typically leads to respiratory distress, fever, and cough followed by the development of pulmonary edema, hypotension, respiratory failure, and possibly death within 36 to 72 hours.

The amount and route of the exposure to Ricin or abrin and the premorbid condition of the person exposed will contribute to the time of onset and the severity of illness. For example, the inhalation of Ricin or abrin would be expected to lead to a quicker onset of poisoning and to cause a more rapid progression of poisoning compared with the ingestion of either of these toxins, given the same exposure amount.

Signs and Symptoms of exposure

- The major symptoms of ricin poisoning depend on the route of exposure and the dose received, though many organs may be affected in severe cases.
- Initial symptoms of ricin poisoning by inhalation may occur as early as 4- 8 hours and as late as 24 hours after exposure. Following ingestion of Ricin, initial symptoms typically occur in less than 10 hours.
- Inhalation: Within a few hours of inhaling significant amounts of Ricin, the likely symptoms would be respiratory distress (difficulty breathing), fever, cough, nausea, and tightness in the chest. Heavy sweating may follow as well as fluid building up in the lungs (pulmonary edema). This would make breathing even more difficult, and the skin might turn blue. Excess fluid in the lungs would be diagnosed by x-ray or by listening to the chest with a stethoscope. Finally, low blood pressure and respiratory failure may occur, leading to death. In cases of known exposure to Ricin, people having respiratory symptoms should seek medical care.
- Ingestion: If someone swallows a significant amount of Ricin, he or she would likely develop vomiting and diarrhea that may become bloody. Severe dehydration may be the result, followed by low blood pressure. Other signs or symptoms may include seizures, and blood in the urine. Uruguay – An Overview

Citizens of the USA, in general, have absolutely no comprehension of the machinations and history of the nation states of our continental neighbors to the south in Southern America. Sadly our “news media” has not provided a sustained level of actual journalism since Benjamin Franklin’s newspaper; the Pennsylvania Gazette. While Venezuela and Colombia are only 1,200 miles south of the bottom of Florida we rarely hear a peep about them in our news reports. Venezuela is starving its people, utilizing radical gorilla fighters, and is teetering on the edge of collapse. They are rife with radical social Marxists, communists, Middle Eastern terror groups, and drug cartels. They sneak millions of tons of illicit drugs, worth billions of dollars into the USA every year. They kidnap tourists for ransom and are heavily involved in human trafficking. Finally, with ties to China and Russia, they have substantial arsenals including weapons, some from the USA, which could rain devastation down on the continental USA with less than an hour’s warning.

The US Navy’s 4^th Fleet and a US Marine Expeditionary Force is quartered in Miami. It is severely underfunded and depleted. The potential forces that could be encountered are some of the most hardened, jungle fighting, communist, forces in the world. ELN in Colombia is rated to have the 39^th most powerful military in the world. Adding to the challenge, the level of failure and turmoil in Venezuela and Colombia is so great that soon we may be forced into some type of militarily intervention. Understanding the complexities of the situation is crucial for a positive outcome.

Uruguay, like Paraguay, is "wedged" politically and economically, between Argentina and Brazil, whose political influence and financial power heavily determines the fates of Uruguay and Paraguay's national sovereignty and interests. The USA spans its continent unbroken or divided. These two small nations suffer like a small boat in the water as a large ship passes by, battered and tossed in the larger ship's wake. Their neighbors mistreat them through unfair trade agreements and the oligarchy tampering with elections, business, and much, much more.

It is my hope to provide you with a unique perspective regarding the history that makes up Uruguay and its people's perspectives today. The insights below are not from a citizen of the USA but written by a lifelong Uruguayan. I believe that it lends an interesting perspective from a native, regarding socialism, communism, democratic values, and their perspective regarding the USA and others. For the purpose of telling the story of Socialism in the Southern Cone (Uruguay, Argentina and kind of a bit of Brazil) I will tell ya'll the story of my people. The 'Uruguayan' people, or as the people's history would rather call it, the tale of the Easterners (Orientales)

Once upon a time, in 1810, there was a man, called Artigas, who dreamed of a free nation, modeled after the United States, but a bunch of Buenos Aires Oligarchs wouldn't let him.

So, he made a coalition with the governors of like-minded provinces and created the League of Free Peoples in opposition to the triumvirate of Buenos Aires, which made its own coalition, based around the Congress of Tucuman.

And so, both coalitions of provinces battled, until 1820, when ironically the Artigas faction won, but left Artigas to fend for himself in the Eastern land (modern Uruguay) to a Portuguese invasion, which eventually forced him to retreat into exile in Paraguay, where he died in 1850.

In 1825, the Eastern land successfully revolted against the newly independent Brazil and began a second war of independence that had the country initially side itself with a motley crew of Argentinian warlords headed by Buenos Aires.

After a series of victories in the Eastern land proper the Argentinian-Easterner army eventually found itself in a war of stagnation against the empire of Brazil that it couldn't possibly win, forcing both sides to the mediation of the British Empire, which agreed to making the Eastern land independent from both Argentina and Brazil. But under a system where both governments would approve its constitution and keep a right to intervening in its politics.

By the way, Eastern land is a translation I came up with, since Banda Oriental literally means Eastern Strip land or some shit, and it sounds dumb and hard to relate with.

By 1830, the new country that was created in the eastern land from what was left of Artigas ancient state was made independent, had its first constitution approved (by the foreign powers) and its first president sworn in (presidents were elected by the landed gentry, soldiers couldn't vote, nor farmhands, nor anyone who didn't have a certain amount of wealth and power, making the country essentially an oligarchy as opposed to Artigas vision)

The first president, Fructuoso Rivera (an old ally of Artigas and lieutenant) eventually left in 1935 and was succeeded by Manuel Oribe (another lieutenant of Artigas and a freemason) And so, began the era of instability in the newly born State East of Uruguay…

Rivera never relinquished his post of overall commander of the army, and Oribe never forced him out, and so, both leaders began a standoff that lasted about an year, until Rivera revolted against Oribe, and got his ass defeated by him initially, in the Battle of Carpinteria.

This battle would have unforeseen consequences in Uruguayan history… as it would be the first battle where both of the fighting forces would use the old bandanas that would go on to fight for another hundred years. The Colorado (Red) bandana and the Blanco (White) bandana.

The Colorados would be the Party of Rivera, and the Blancos (self-proclaimed as the party of the Laws, i.e.: of the government of Oribe) the party of Oribe

For the next hundred years, both parties, would fight on, and on in numerous civil wars.

Beginning with the Great War of the River Plata, followed by the War of the Triple Alliance begun by Venancio Flores, then the Revolt of the Lances of Timoteo Aparicio, then with an interregnum of military dictatorships by the Colorados, then followed by even more civil wars begun by the Blancos led by Aparicio Saravia (who by then had forgotten why the wars begun to begin with and began fighting for electoral rights).

With the death of Aparicio Saravia in 1904, the Colorados finally were able to quell the countryside, but not without finally giving an inch and giving the Blancos what they really wanting, a measure of justice, electoral rights, and participation in Government

And thus, started what can be called the golden era of Uruguayan history, the 50 years of progress that began with Battle y Ordoñez administration (Colorado) who was so progressive by South American standards, that even some socialists (who initially were part of his party) even asked him to join them, an offer he rejected.

By 1950 though, the signs of new problems began rising in the horizon, as the world wars that had given the country much of its wealth (due to the country being a huge source of foodstuffs for the allied powers) began to dry

Syndicates, Trade Unions and social movements began to rise up. The Blancos (now called the National Party) won in 1958 and ruled until 1966, when the Colorados came back to power.

During the 60s an urban guerrilla took up arms, called the MLN-T (Movimiento de Liberacion Nacional - Tupamaros) alongside with the anarchist group OPR33

By 1971, a constitutional crisis began, as the military backed Pacheco Areco began a campaign for his re-election that led the more progressive members of his Colorado Party to leave the party and begin what's known as the Frente Amplio (Broad Front) with the help of the Revolutionary Left in Uruguay

In the 1971 election, with the help of the Brazilians (as attested by unclassified CIA documents), Pacheco Areco had the elections rigged and prevented the victory of the Blanco Wilson Ferreira Aldunate (who although being part of the Blanco Party was aligned more closely with the Frente Amplio and even copied their programme in some key parts)

Pacheco Areco was prevented from re-election due to losing a constitutional referendum during the election, resulting in the election Juan Maria Bordaberry, his vice-president… a name not soon to be forgotten

During the heyday of the guerrilla, at the start of the 70s, they were able to break out of prison through a hole in the walls. However, Bordaberry with the help of the 'reforms' made by Pacheco Areco in his previous government had the military take over the duties of the police and created the joint security forces. These forces hunted down the guerrilla and imprisoned them within 3 months.

During this time the Joint Forces, greedy for power began plotting to take over the government. In February of 1973, the Navy (Armada) took their forces to the streets to defend the constitutionality of the presidency, but weren't heard by the President, who gave up to the military.

In June of 1973, Bordaberry had the Parliament closed down and the Military-Civilian 'Process' (dictatorship) began.

Initially, the Frente Amplio hoped for a left-wing military coup, but after their leaders began being jailed, they began a general strike which had no much success and began either leaving the country (the richer ones), being jailed (the less powerful and more revolutionary of them) or being denied jobs in the country (the middle of both worlds and worst at all)

By 1985 the military dictatorship found itself out of time, money and support, thus it sought a way out.

'Thanks' to the Pact of the Naval Club, both Wilson Ferreira (Blanco) and Seregni (Ex-Colorado and Frente Amplist) were kept out of the election rolls, thus helping the Colorados to win.

After the elections both were let out of prison and they began a campaign to have the military leaders tried for their crimes during the dictatorship. But the political forces of the country eventually succeeded in convincing Wilson that democracy would only go on if the military were absolved of their crimes through a law. The law of the Caducity of the State's Pretension of Punity (more or less the translation of its name) which left the military out of jail

In the 1990s, the Blancos first (under the conservative Blanco, Luis Lacalle) and the Colorados after (under Sanguinetti) did neoliberal 'reforms' that fucked the country further and tried privatizing several state companies, with limited success.

By 1996, both parties had exhausted themselves and sought a pact to keep the Frente Amplio out of power, which they managed to, by adding the presidential ballotage to the constitution, thus winning against the Frente Amplio in a 51 vs 49 margin in 1999

This was not to pass for long though, as Jorge Batlle (grand-grandson of Batlle y Ordoñez) led a coalition government of Colorados and Blancos that went through a major crisis, the 2002 crisis, during which a large number of Uruguayans went bankrupt and some event fled the country as the banks crashed

In 2004 the Frente Amplio, led by Tabaré Vazquez won the presidential election in the first round of elections with 51% of the vote, thus circumventing the ballotage

The Frente Amplio after entering government, tried to deal with both Blancos and Colorados by giving them key ministries, but after both parties began trying to jacole them for posts, the Frente Amplio finished the negotiations and told them off, thus forming government on its own

The economy which had been recovering since 2003, boomed throughout 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, thus resulting in the election of a second Frente Amplio government, led by former guerrilla José Mujica who promised to lead the country left.

A promise he didn't deliver, as his presidency was a roller coaster of promises, rambling incoherence and a chronic case of overinflated expectations but overall the economy did fine

Thus Tabaré Vazquez got re-elected in 2014, and so began Vazquez 2.0 the electric bugaloo of strikes, incoherent promises half-way delivered that nobody cared about (national system for caring of the elderly, tablets for the elderly and the list goes on)

I have to take a while out, so feel free to comment on what I've written so far

Currently the country's politics are dominated by the Frente Amplio (which is allegedly left wing, but is in reality in bed with big agricultural, transport and pulp mill companies) and has 50 diputados out of 99(representatives in Uruguayan parlance), 15 senators out of 30 (plus the vice president which counts as one extra, thus 16/31)

The National (Blanco) Party which has 30 diputados and has 10 senators, which counts as right of center, pro-capitalist party

The Colorado Party which has around 13 diputados and 3 senators, which used to be the party of government and is now a regular liberal party

The Independent Party which is a 'radical' centrist party, left of center, 3 diputados and 1 senator

The Popular Unity which has only 1 diputado and is revolutionary left and has MLM folks as well as ML

And finally there's the Radical Ecologists, who have no diputados (almost got one, and almost surely will get 1 next elections in 2019), as well as the Trotskysts who have barely 6k votes, in a country where you need 20 or so thousand votes to get a diputado

Venezuela, Colombia, and Panama an Existential Threat 2018-02-12

Alert – Eyes on – Venezuela, Columbia, and Panama

Since returning from a job in the corner of Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, known as the Tri-Border Area (TBA), in the early 1990s I began warning people of the boiling threat to our nation and every person in South and Central America. I rattled on about it on my radio talk show nearly every week from 1996 on after returning several times and having my first encounter with the PLO, Hezbollah, and what is now known as al Qaeda.

According to the Library of Congress – Federal Research Division Report on the Tri-Border Area (TBA):

“Hizballah clerics and members of other violent Islamic groups reportedly began planting agents and recruiting sympathizers among Arab and Muslim immigrants in Latin America in the mid-1980s, at the height of the Lebanese civil war.

Hizballah cells began to form in the TBA as a result of Hizballah proselytizing in the Lebanese communities. Islamic fundamentalist organizations such as the Islamic Resistance Movement (Harakat al-Muqawamah al-Islamiyya—Hamas), Hizballah, and al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya (Islamic Group) actively use the TBA as a support base, and al Qaeda reportedly has been establishing a presence in the region since at least the mid-1990s. By mid-2000, an estimated 460 Hizballah operatives were thought to be living and working in the TBA.

The Main Stream Media has a centuries long history of turning a blind eye or forwarding the advance of communist and socialist dictatorships and rebel hit squads highlighted by the ELN and the FARC. Millions have died and have been subjugated by them over the past century and a quarter. If you do not believe that, simply educate yourself to what they do not tell you in school or the media. There have been many mistakes made over the years politically between the USA and the nations of South and Central America. That does not negate the fact that those regions due to their nearly ubiquitous corruption and complicity with enemies of the USA represent an existential threat. It is the duty of the government to employ all possible means to exert its power, first to assure the safety, security, stability of the nation, and the world. The desire to “stay out of it” because “it is not our fight” would rapidly evaporate if the economies of the world collapsed as a result of a lassie fair attitude. It is not imperialistic for a nation to negotiate for and advocate in favor of its interests. In fact, it is cultural and national suicide to do otherwise. It is only the opponents of a free nation that lecture it to be passive.

There has long been an existential threat brewing in Venezuela and through South and Central America. US news media is silent on the issues that plague the regions. The US problem with illegal immigration would evaporate if there was stability in even one country there. Thirty second searching the internet for South or Central American governmental corruption will yield 100 hours of intensive reading. The problem is out of control. Venezuela is at the top of the list for threats.

The poor people of Venezuela are trapped by their government. They are being gunned down in the street by FARC rebels working with their socialist communist government. It has gotten so bad that the people have eaten dogs, cats, rats, and worse.

Venezuela is in serious crisis. Their government owned oil company was sold to the Russian owned oil company (See this article for details). Rosneft the Russian State owned company swapped its collateral stake in Citgo for stakes in three additional PDVSA oil fields, two natural gas fields, and fuel supply contract. To compound the threat, that means by default, Rosneft now has the contract to operate the Panama Canal.

Just in case you don’t understand, if the Panama Canal was shutdown, attacked, or “seized” it could collapse the economies of every advanced nation in the world. The only alternative to the Panama Canal is to circumnavigate then entire continent of South America. Such an issue would doom world commerce.

The crisis in Venezuela is more threatening because a dark horse in the background is challenging President Maduro for his power. If the dark horse were to take control the Venezuela may spiral into a Muslim Brotherhood Caliphate. If Venezuela falls there are others in the region barely holding on. The US military analysts believe that Columbia would be annexed into Venezuela in under three months. Unfortunately, the trouble would not stop there. The expectations are that they would continue on to seize Panama. They believe that Panama would fall to the ETN and FARC in less than a week. The ramifications would be so devastating to the continent and the USA that the US would be forced to respond to repel or contain them and seize control of the Panama Canal.

Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia

The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia—People's Army was a guerrilla movement involved in the continuing Colombian armed conflict since 1964. It was known to employ a variety of military tactics in addition to more unconventional methods, including terrorism. The FARC-EP was formed during the Cold War period as a Marxist–Leninist peasant force promoting a political line of agrarianism and anti-imperialism. The operations of the FARC–EP were funded by kidnap and ransom; illegal mining; extortion or taxation of various forms of economic activity; and the taxation, production, and distribution of illegal drugs. The United Nations has estimated that 12% of all killings of civilians in Colombian conflict were committed by FARC and National Liberation Army guerrillas, with 80% committed by right-wing paramilitaries, and the remaining 8% committed by Colombian security forces.

The National Liberation Army (Spanish: Ejército de Liberación Nacional, ELN) is an armed group involved in the continuing Colombian armed conflict,^[6] which has existed in Colombia since 1964. The ELN advocate a composite communist ideology of Marxism and liberation theology. In 2013, it was estimated that the ELN forces consisted of between 1,380 and 3,000 guerrillas.^[3][4][5] According to former ELN national directorate member Felipe Torres, one fifth of ELN supporters have taken up arms.^[7] The ELN has been classified as a terrorist organization by the governments of Colombia, Peru, United States,^[8] Canada^[9] and the European Union.^[10]

Panama and the areas surrounding Columbia and Venezuela are on the Gulf of Mexico and areas of which the coastal rights are highly disputed. That area is patrolled by and under the oversight of the US Naval Forces Southern Command and US 4^th Fleet. The US has numerous treatise and agreements with most of the nations in that region. In the even of an “event” they stand ready to deploy rapidly into the area to contain conflict.

Make no mistake, a battle in with FARC and the ELN would be no cake walk. The region has been so corrupt and the nations so war torn for so long that these two rebel factions are quite formidable adversaries. The ELN is heavily armed, highly skilled, it even employs engineers, doctors, has tanks, anti-aircraft weapons, and more. They are rated as the 39^th most powerful military in the entire world.

The ELN has also occasionally operated with the FARC-EP and like FARC it has targeted civilians, according to a February 2005 report by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights: "During 2004, the FARC-EP and the ELN carried out a series of attacks against the civilian population, including several massacres of civilians and kidnappings by the FARC-EP. There were occasional joint actions by the FARC-EP and the ELN."^[11]

We are seeing the results of leading from behind. While serving the interests of the nation, a nation cannot withdrawal from the world stage or it will be left to fend for the scraps of those who are engaged. The meek shall not inherit the earth, they will be forced to eat rats and live enslaved.

The likelihood that the Trump Administration will be able to avoid direct military action in the event that the issues escalate as expected is very low. Over the past year the US has shifted into high gear building the Navy’s capabilities for the long term. There are several new weapons and support ships and platforms that were stalled during the Obama Administration. Hopefully those systems will come online and will afford the ability to make a decisive and overwhelming response to limit casualties and human loss.

In the background there are things that have caused impediments to future negotiations with the US. In an article that is in editing, I have written extensively about Paraguay and the current negotiations between the small impoverished nation with its neighbors, Argentina and Brazil. That are of South America is in a crisis over access to water. The Bush family slowly purchased 121,407 hectares of land encompassing a large portion of the Guarani Aquifer System. The aquifer is the largest renewable fresh water resource in the world. Throughout the world there are mass shortages of fresh water threatening famine and death. Many of those areas have water which has been usurped by companies like Nestle and others who seize the water and resell it the people at a ransom price. Such a “seizure” of such a critical resource leads people to believe that the US is trying to manipulate and hurt them.

The United States’ military presence at the Mariscal Estigarribia military base, which has its own international airport feeds the FARC/ELN communist narrative of USA imperialism. The strategic importance of the US Military presence in proximity to both the notorious tri-border area and the Guarani Aquifer is certainly no accident. The presence of the US military there is likely the only reason that the Islamic terror and communist rebel groups have not seized the aquafer and overrun the three dependent nations.

How Your Brain Responds to Repetitive Fear Based Reports

Understanding the power and effect of perception is the lynchpin to good decision making. Developing a mature and analytical “handling” process for perception will arm you with an exceptional ability to analyze complex challenges rapidly and accurately. That skill will give you is an essential edge against your competition. Well-practiced it will save you from harm and suffering. It may save your life. Quick thinking, rapid, accurate, and thoughtful responses are game-changers in a survival situation and life in general.

Some of the brightest minds in the world have debated the concept that I wrote, about on December 30, 2017, “Perception is reality. Reality is perception” is scientifically validated. I will not slip off into scientific minutia, but if you wish to go there read how what we see is totally based upon the perception that is a result of the upside-down image of light reflectivity, corneal, retinal, and brain functions. Those things vary from human to human. The brain is so powerful that it processes “what it gets”, fills the blanks, and calculates the scene for your survival.

The perceived world posits that you see something, therefore it is. We certainly know that is nowhere near the case. A table is a table or is it. In the video below the tables are different, or are they.

When you see something for the first time, you must assess it, test it, feel it, and develop a concept explaining what you have seen. Those “facts” the child of vision, analysis, and valuation are subjective perceptions. Lighting, angle, obstructed view, and more directly skew the outcome of your final assessment of the object in question. Most people do not even know what about the Ames Illusion. The challenge is to develop skills that allow you to error check your sensory data.

I believe that when assessing life and what it presents to us every day, we must learn to develop a worthwhile skillset to enable us to make objective, clear, logical, and accurate assessments of people and the world around us. As I said, if you embrace the idea that perception is reality and reality is the perception you will be ahead of the game.

People used to park their cars with their windows down, doors unlocked, with the keys in them. Most of the time, nothing negative happened. Over time, new stories occurred telling troubling tales of theft, damage, and sometimes injuries as a result of their perception of safety and security are diminished. Suddenly, they are locking their car. Depending upon the imagery, threat, and tolerance to that risk people will suddenly hide everything in the car, install a car alarm, and purchase aftermarket security devices for the car. The process slowly strips that person willingly of their calm, trusting demeanor. It alters the way they look at strangers walking by them near their car. The point is not to say that in some instances those perceptions and behaviors are not totally valid and necessary. Simply, the question is, did you actually speak to police officers and locals who are in that area all of the time? Did you find data that supported the threat and countermeasures?

Fear and the perception that we derive from the stories and images are calculated outcomes. The stories and images, carefully selected to frame our perception and provoke a specific response. Again, the Hegelian Dialectic.

Your response is to:

Watch countless hours of redundant, often baseless conjecture, and pontification on cable TV.
As the story persists, fed by new and more graphic details, get more and more fearful, angry, and concerned.
You demand that the government and law enforcement “DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.”

The cable TV networks make millions of dollars on advertising revenue. You develop a biased, generally inaccurate perception of the facts, the threats, and the NEED FOR A SOLUTION.

Sadly, this brain-based response can be exploited for way more than being tricked into ceding our most valued assets, our freedoms and even our liberty. Daily, the same methods are employed to excite us to buy antiaging creams, hair regrowth formulas, and other items that will “save us”.

As with anything, this provoked, the highly predictable response can be employed for benign or nefarious purposes.

Carefully sculpted messages are embedded in every form of media today. They focus on the idea that everyone is a victim. Everyone, except for people of European roots, they are the creators of all evil. The clear message is that masses are victims. Victims do not exist without an aggressor. They want you to beg to be saved, surrender what you have, especially that which threatens them and their power over you, in return for “safety and security.” From advertisements to news “reports”, movies to television shows, they all inundate you with images where they flip nature and reality on its head, and place strong people in weak positions, weak people as super heroes, and much more. We all are inundated with advertisements for food, beverages, and a plethora of other things they tell you, that you need. These messages are also in political speeches and news “reports.” They can change public support for policies, wars, programs, laws, and more.

At the end of the Tet Offensive in Vietnam (1968) the North Vietnamese had suffered such devastating losses that the lead general formed a surrender party. They watched Walter Cronkite on the evening news say that we had lost the war. We had sustained thousands of casualties, but they were totally devastated. Several decades later we learned that Walter Cronkite; “the most trusted voice in the news” was a socialist. In his retirement he gave a speech to the World Federalist Association in which he “favor[ed a] world government financed by global taxes”. He called for the U.S. to renounce “some of its sovereignty” and pass a series of United Nations treaties-many of which were later pushed in the Senate by President Barack Obama. Cronkite’s reports shifted the previously strong majority support for the Vietnam Conflict to oppose it. That is the power of the message.

I will use two really powerful examples that illuminate the issue. First the reporting on the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. The underlying bias of the mainstream media which is likely a combination of two competing factors. The first is the fact that most of the media leaders and talking heads were either leftist anti-Vietnam war protesters or were taught by them in college.

We love and respect our US Military. They are serving our nation at the will of our government to protect us and our interests. One military death is too much. But the numbers must be understood in order to give them due respect.

The second is fed by the desire to, through fear and sensationalized carnage, pack the viewers to increase advertising revenue. The baseline rhetoric focuses on the death and destruction of “innocents” and “our people” in the military resulting in the average person speculating, when asked, that 100,000 American soldiers died there. They also believe that “the Iraqis and Afghanis did nothing, we died for them.” Sadly, the numbers are:

  - 43,000 uniformed Afghans, Iraqis, and other Allies died

Over 21% of all deaths in the theater were caused by non-hostile incidents. According to several sources there are as many as another 25% who died while in combat but not because of enemy actions but in rollovers, crashes, and other motor vehicle accidents. Over half of the combat casualties were not caused by arms fire but at an average of 1.7 deaths to one IED. The casualty rate from IEDs is over double. Why does that matter? The media knows that death and carnage equal viewers. The politicians know that high casualty rates yield public outcry and power shifts. For our military, it means that instead of the obvious outcry for our soldiers to be provided with explosion proof vehicles, we left them there for the first six years with HUMVEES that would tear in half with a few pipe bombs. Our brave soldiers were denied support for ratings and political gain!

There is more, in the Vietnam conflict the numbers stack up like this:

That is roughly 16% of our military in Vietnam died from non-enemy actions.

There are tricks employed in order to galvanize the public’s perceptions and reactions. Although it seems counter-intuitive that a known is perceived as more threatening than an unknown, we find that personified threats/risks (named threats; Taliban, Son of Sam, etc.) are perceived as a higher threat than the risk from a faceless threat. Therefore, the media and the government move quickly to name the risk. Twenty-four-hour news channels even make fancy graphics and stressful music for the segments. Once they have done that, they repeat the things that they wish for you to accept as a threat to you. This invokes fear, discomfort, and a “need” for “a solution”. Welcome the Hegelian Dialectic (see the article.) The next act is the “public demands” action. Therein lies the danger to our way of life, our freedoms, and our liberty.

We must constantly be vigilant to the well-planned manipulation that is foisted upon us every day. We are the primary guardians of our liberty and freedoms. Never rest in the task of guarding these precious gifts.

What Really Motivated Its Author?

Veteran readers of THE NEW AMERICAN are vibrantly aware of the May 10, 1994 “Combat Arms Survey” administered to 300 active-duty Marines at the USMC’s Air-Ground Combat Center, Twenty-Nine Palms, California.

Among its 46 questions, the Marines were asked if they would be willing to swear to a United Nations code of conduct and if they would fire on Americans who refused to turn over their privately owned weapons to the government. Other questions sought their approval or disapproval about their involvement in an assortment of operations far removed from proper military assignments, some of which would even place them under formal UN command.

One of the Marines who participated in this exercise became so disturbed by the questions that he obtained an extra copy and sent it to THE NEW AMERICAN. No sooner had our published report about this survey reached readers than several congressmen fired off inquiries to the Marine Corps and Navy. Spokesmen for both branches of the service issued statements claiming there was really nothing to be concerned about, that the survey was merely part of its author’s research for a master’s degree thesis.

But that explanation neatly sidesteps a far more important consideration: The aura of official acceptance of these subversive attitudes would certainly lead some of the Marines toward believing that they should hold them as well. It is our contention that no one wearing a uniform of the U.S. Armed Forces should ever allow troops under his command to be subjected to such totally unconstitutional thinking.

Author’s Defense

We have talked at length with the author of this survey, Navy Lieutenant Commander Ernest Guy Cunningham, and about his motivation in creating it. He provided us with a copy of the 197-page thesis he wrote after analyzing the responses given by the Marines. His thesis helped him to earn a master of science degree in the area of manpower, personnel, and training analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.

Anxious to defend himself from charges he is pro-UN, Cunningham repeatedly contended in his interview with THE NEW AMERICAN that he is no enemy of America and no participant in any plan to demoralize U.S. troops. He maintained emphatically that he wanted only to confirm and then pass on to higher authorities his fears about “the lack of knowledge among the soldiers about the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and their heritage as Americans.” He added: “I’m a life member of the National Rifle Association, an ardent constitutionalist, and I’m even disappointed with the NRA spokesmen who don’t do a very good job defending their position.”

To each of the questions or scenarios presented in the Cunningham survey, the Marines were asked if they strongly disagree, disagree, agree, strongly agree, or have no opinion. The first part of the survey dealt with non-traditional missions (termed “operations other than war” by Cunningham) under the command and control of U.S. military personnel, first inside the United States, and then outside the United States. Additional questions dealt with those same type missions conducted outside the U.S. under United Nations command and control.

The Marines indicated overwhelming acquiescence to being assigned under U.S. control within the U.S. for such non-traditional missions as drug enforcement, disaster relief, environmental clean-up, substitute teaching in public schools, guarding prisons, national emergency policing, or assisting federal law enforcement officials. For example, one of the questions asked the Marines if they would be willing to be assigned to a “national emergency police force” within the U.S. under U.S. command. The survey showed that 6.0 percent strongly disagreed, 6.3 percent disagreed, 42.3 percent agreed, 43.0 percent strongly agreed, and 2.3 percent had no opinion.

“Do you realize,” Cunningham stated during our telephone interview, “that 85.3 percent agreed with assigning troops to a mission that violates the Posse Comitatus Act?” This Act states that “it shall not be lawful to employ any part of the Army of the United States, as a posse comitatus [power of the county], or otherwise, for the purpose of executing the laws, except [when] authorized by the Constitution or by act of Congress.”

Additional results published in Cunningham’s thesis demonstrate a high degree of willingness on the part of these U.S. troops to carry out non-traditional missions under U.S. command: 48 percent agreement for drug enforcement; 39 percent for disaster relief; 67 percent for peacekeeping; and 52 percent for humanitarian relief. However, when questions were asked about similar missions involving U.S. troops under UN command, the approval rate dropped off markedly: 17 percent for drug enforcement; 13 percent for disaster relief; 25 percent for peacekeeping; 21 percent for humanitarian relief; and only 11 percent for Korean or Vietnam police action.

Firing on U.S. Citizens?

While all of the questions in this survey should have stimulated concern, the survey’s final question has generated an enormous amount of attention:

The U.S. government declares a ban on the possession, sale, transportation, and transfer of all non-sporting firearms. A thirty (30) day amnesty period is permitted for these firearms to be turned over to the local authorities. At the end of this period, a number of citizen groups refuse to turn over their firearms. Consider the following statement: I would fire upon U.S. citizens who refuse or resist confiscation of firearms banned by the U.S. government.

The survey results: 42.3 percent strongly disagreed with this statement; 19.3 percent disagreed; 18.6 percent agreed; 7.6 percent strongly agreed; and 12.0 percent had no opinion. In one of the footnotes appearing in his thesis, Cunningham quotes comments placed by some of the Marines next to their answers to this question: “What about the damn Second Amendment? …. I feel this is a first in communism! …. Read the book None Dare Call It Conspiracy by Gary Allen.” “I would not even consider it. The reason we have guns is so that the people can overthrow the gov’t when or if the people think the gov’t is too powerful.” “Freedom to bear arms is our Second Amendment. If you take our Amendments away then you can take this job and stick it where the sun don’t shine! …. It is a right to own firearms for defense (2nd Amendment); I would fight for that right!”

Based on the disagreement expressed by 61 percent of the Marines, Cunningham concluded that “a complete unit breakdown would occur in a unit tasked to execute this mission.”

Cunningham’s Deficiencies

In his interview with THE NEW AMERICAN, Cunningham claimed to be appalled that so many Marines would be willing to serve in non-traditional roles that conflict with the purpose of our military or to serve under UN command. He even volunteered that he “didn’t agree personally with any portion of the survey” even though he is “its sole author, originator, and creator.” Yet the thesis he submitted gave no indication of any such sentiments. Just the opposite, in fact.

In his thesis, Cunningham states that “The legitimacy of operations other than war is rooted in the constitutional powers of the Executive,” and that such operations and the placement of “U.S. forces under operational control of United Nations personnel are legitimate.” [Emphasis added.] Not so, according to our reading of the Constitution and the thinking of those who wrote it. The military is not the President’s to use as he wishes; his designation as “Commander in Chief” is an occasional assignment of responsibility, not a wholesale grant of power.

Betraying a poor understanding of the proper role of the military, Cunningham claims: “But the Framers also granted the Executive the latitude to use the Federal troops under his command as a tool of diplomacy when he deemed it appropriate. This was the case in both Korea and Vietnam.” That kind of thinking has gotten this nation into undeclared wars, led to casualties in the hundreds of thousands, and entangled our nation ever more deeply in the United Nations and its subsidiary organizations.

Cunningham’s claims that he is a defender of the U.S. Constitution have to be questioned when he writes: “Future U.S. missions may require the inclusion of international soldiers in U.S. units and, in some cases, when national security interests dictate, the President of the United States may appoint a competent United Nations officer to exercise operational control over U.S. contingents.”

But what about the fact that most U.S. military personnel apparently don’t want to serve in “peacekeeping” missions? “Some may argue that the military need only incorporate the necessary indoctrination and training,” Cunningham notes in his thesis. “But doing so would require establishing formal training and indoctrination programs … thus, in effect, building a completely new program from the ground up. Another possibility may be more realistic. Realizing the conflict and incongruity peacekeeping represents in a combat organizational model, it may be necessary to bifurcate the military. Such a change could promote specialization and provide an opportunity to those who desire peacekeeping duty. Perhaps it is time to designate separate fighting forces and peacekeeping forces.”

Cunningham’s own survey results demonstrate that there is solid opposition to converting the U.S. military into an adjunct of a New World Army. Yet his outrageous suggestion provides the globalists with an opportunity for circumventing that opposition. If implemented, it would undoubtedly be, not an end in itself, but another ominous step toward the abandonment of the traditional role of the U.S. military. Yet there is good reason to believe that these subversive plans will never be accomplished — as the heroic stand of Army Specialist Michael New amply demonstrates.
